Posts are regular content that is displayed in chronological order (according to date), whereas a page is standalone content that does not fall under any categories. Examples of the page are &#8220;Contact Page&#8221;, &#8220;About&#8221; etc.<\/p>\n<p>Since a page does not have any category option, it can be categorized into the <strong>Parent Page<\/strong> and the <strong>Child Page<\/strong>. In this article, I&#8217;m going to explain how you can <em><strong>CREATE<\/strong><\/em> and <em><strong>MANAGE<\/strong><\/em> a child page in WordPress.<\/p>\n<h2>Child Page or Sub Page<\/h2>\n<p>A website can be built even without a post. Those websites that do not have many blog posts to publish can use pages to showcase information.\u00a0 But if there are too many pages, then it will be difficult to manage. In this case, similar types of pages are kept under one main page. Those pages are called child pages or subpages.<\/p>\n<p>In WordPress, you can maintain the hierarchy of the page by creating a child page under the parent page. The WordPress admin interface has the option to set a page as an independent one or to put it in a parent-child relationship.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6305\" src=\"https:\/\/www.acmethemes.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/child-page-in-wordpress.jpg\" alt=\"child page in wordpress\" width=\"1200\" height=\"502\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Creating a child page is the same as creating a normal page.\u00a0 But in order to create child pages, you must have a parent page.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Go to Admin Menu &gt; Pages &gt; Add New<\/li>\n<li>Give the title of the page (Example: Parent)<\/li>\n<li>Write the content of the page<\/li>\n<li>Set the featured image from the right lower corner<\/li>\n<li>Click on Publish to save the page.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Again&#8230;..\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Go to Admin Menu &gt; Pages &gt; Add New<\/li>\n<li>Give the title of another page(Example: Child Page)<\/li>\n<li>Write the content of the page<\/li>\n<li>Set the featured image from the right lower corner<\/li>\n<li>And select the parent page from the <strong>Page Attributes<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Click on the Publish button to save the changes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>By default, it is set to the \u2018no parent\u2019 option, which means this page does not have any association with other pages. You need to set a parent page according to need.
