If the provided options are not useful for your need, you need to customize the theme. Would you please elaborate what you actually want to do on that featured section? All the codes for slider are inside acmethemes/hooks/slider-selection.php. You can check that files and customize as your need.
If you are not aware about the codes, better to hire customizer as well.
