Please follow the given instructions to remove the widgets in Home Main Content Area.
Dashboard -> Appearance -> Customize -> Home Main Content Area -> Click on widgets there and click on remove at the end of each widget.Best Regards!

Please check all the plugins properly, try deactivating some plugins one by one and check and refresh your website. Some plugins might be the reason for missing add to cart button.

Please create a slider page and insert featured image then after selecting it from featured slider section of customize.
Note: Please do not use default slider of the theme because default slider content hard-coded text on a slider.Best Regards!
