It seems that the error is due to the plugin jetpack. Can you try once by deactivating the jetpack plugin.

Thank you four your queries.
1. If post missing the featured image, default image will appeared there. So, kindly check all the post have featured image or not.
2. Check all the options available on the widgets, you will have the options to make the widgets run.
3. Even if the widget options are not functional, kindly check by deactivate the activated plugins. It may due to the plugin conflicts well.

MacBook automatically unzip the folder. So, we request you to zip that theme folder again and upload it via Appearance > Themes > Add New > Upload.

If so, you can check the Feature Page options from Appearance > customize > Featured Section Options and select the page for the slider section. If you select the parent page, its child pages will be the slider items. Kindly check this link for more help.
