In case of remove author on free version, you need to customize the theme. The URL you provided above is not working.
Note: Child Theme is recommended to customize theme.

The style is not loaded properly. Please add that CSS codes once directly on style.css files of theme and check again. While we check by inspecting the browser, it is working. please try once and let us know.
