ParticipantI only want to show certain categories of posts in my blog and or archive. I have tried the customize feature Layout/Design Option > Blog/Archive Layout Options > Exclude Categories In Blog/Archive Pages but it is asking for category ids. I cannot find a numeric id for categeories.

ParticipantSo after some time searching the web I found out how to identify the category ids but that still does not work. All of my posts are displaying on the blog page. I really would like to hide most of the posts and show just posts from select categories. Any help?

ModeratorHello William,
You can hide the category and the post of that category will hide automatically. If you need to hide the some selected post of the selected category, there is no such features in the theme. You need to post that post on draft/trash to hide.
Thank youNovember 12, 2016 at 2:32 pm #10585William Everhart
ParticipantWell I guess that is what I am trying to say. I have tried the documented method of hiding a category by entering its id and yet my posts that are in that category still appear.
