We have paid for the theme (although My Theme Licence says Site is Inactive no matter how many times I input my licence key) and we are still having some layout issues on search pages – or category views, the layout seems to degrade as you scroll down the page when there are alot of items to display.
The site is http://www.ridgeway-online.com any ideas?November 17, 2016 at 1:42 am #10707acmesupportsModerator
Please follow the process how to activate the theme license from here? If the theme license is activated on the other site or your developing site, please remove it from there and use the license on the existing site. We recommend you to use the acme fix image plugin to make the image size so that your category page may be fine. Please follow the documentation for more details.

Thanks for that, it worked.
Sadly I then updated the theme as you suggested and despite the fact that we are running a child theme it knocked the layout and settings badly.
I have restored a backup – the site should look like this http://www.ridgeway-online.com/
After the update to the theme it looked like this https://get.google.com/albumarchive/103894347084857735418/album/AF1QipMuNWxb5YRo8b4lZsHpEidqYaosfkgCk4wJZmlD?authKey=CKSv8oq08ZbR6wE
I would really appreciate some help as to how to get the update successfully in place.

If you edited the parent theme, all the changes you made on it will lost. So, we recommended you to use the child theme. First find all the edited codes on parent theme and manage all from child theme. Look here the importance of child theme.
If you have any more confusion, let us know.
