ParticipantWith one little slip of the finger, I’ve caused myself a big headache. I was attempting to remove themes that we don’t use, and instead of clicking on the theme tile to get to the ‘delete’ link, the finger clicked on the ‘Activate’ button. Disaster! I re-activated Event Star Pro, and all was fine EXCEPT there are no more sidebars anywhere.
The sidebar plugin is activated and all the sidebar widgets are active. I’ve even tried installing another sidebar plugin and creating new sidebars – they still don’t display on the site. I’ve checked all the theme settings and page settings I can think of, but no success.
Unfortunately I can’t restore a backup because we had just had the site disinfected. Lesson learned – do backup before even the simplest of maintenance.
Any ideas what might be inhibiting the sidebar display?

ModeratorDear Stephen,
Once you switch the theme, the widget of the active theme will be saved as Inactive Widgets on Appearance => Widget , so you have to manually drag and
drop the widgets to Sidebars.

ParticipantAs I mentioned in my original post, the sidebar widgets are all active, so that is not the problem.
I’ve been doing some more experimenting and found the following:
— The original sidebars will NOT appear on the left side, no matter what I try
— If I redefine the page to have right hand sidebars, and mark the original sidebars as a right-hand sidebar, the orginal sidebars WILL appear
— When I move the right-hand sidebar back to left-hand, it does NOT appear. What’s another option to try to restore the sidebars to their original state?
