    I would like to remove the reference to Acme Themes and WordPress in the footer.

    Hello Karen Zastudil,
    Are you using the Premium version of this theme Corporate Plus Pro. If not, this feature is only available on the Premium theme.
    In premium theme you find this features on Appearance > Customize > Footer Options Or have a look on the documentation here.
