Dear all,
I am very happy with your Mercantile Pro theme. However, some users complain that upon launching my site for the first time, it’s looking like pictures reload twice which is looking not very professional. Please have a look yourself: http://www.achieveforum.de
What are your recommendations for improving performance? If it is compressing images, please provide recommended density and size. Open for any further suggestions.P.S.
using the height slider does not seem to have any effect on the vertical size of the pictures.Thanks and best regards

Please try using using our Intro Loader Options.
Appearance->Customize->Layout/Design Option->Intro Loader Option
Check the box on Enable Intro LoaderBest Regards!

thank you for your advice which helped to ease the situation a little. However, my page speed especially for mobile is still very poor. I know that I should compress photographs even further. Besides this: what are your recommendations for improving the speed even further? Is there anything I can do within the Customizer, or do you recommend using dedicated optimization plugins for wordpress?

There are number of optimization plugins available but the popular among theme are WP Rocket, W3 Total Cache,WP Super Cache and so on.Use any one of them as per your convenient.Dear support team,
