    I created an empty page and set it as home page. I added the content in the Home Main Content Area Widget. Everything appears but for some reason the empty page is also visible at the end of the page. What did I do wrong?

    Ok found it now. In Customizing there is an Layout/Design option: Front Page Content Option.
    There you can hide the page content. I wonder why “hide” is not the default setting.

    Nice to know that your problem is solved. If we hide the section on default, the blog will hide on default, so we disabled on default.
